In order to know everything there is to know about the lord, he also went through the scriptures, especially Mudgal Purana, which is dedicated to the study of scriptures and designed a flag representing him.
The flag, Mooshaka Dhwaja, was designed during the centenary year of Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav in 1993,
It has now been accepted at all Ganesha temples in Maharashtra.
