'Know Your Army' exhibition in Mumbai

Citizens of Mumbai will get a good opportunity to better understand the army when it showcases its weapons and gives an insight into the way of life in the armed forces during an exhibition in Shivaji Park, Dadar.

At the 'Know Your Army' exhibition, which will be inaugurated in Mumbai on November 4, visitors can also get to see weapons captured from various terrorist outfits.

"Maharashtra Governor Mohammad Fazal will inaugurate the exhibition, which had received a tremendous response last year. The exhibition will later move to Pune, Nagpur and Nashik," General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Lt Gen B S Takhar told reporters after reviewing the preparations for the event.

The main aim of the exhibition is to create awareness about the defense forces among the general population, let them get a feel of the various facets of the army's might, its way of life and the career opportunities it offers.

The army will display sky diving, 

Besides viewing tanks and infantry combat vehicles, visitors can also take a ride on some of them. An interesting aspect is the equipment used in extreme cold climates, like in the Siachen glacier, and during mountaineering and rescue operations.

For those who love a dash of adventure, watch out for the sky diving show. And just in case the rush of adrenaline gets out of hand, the army's state-of-the-art ambulances will be nearby.
