Jamali told reporters in Islamabad that people should believe when the prime minister says something. "It is not proper that I issue clarifications every day," he said.
The News had reported on Friday that Jamali was likely to be replaced before July 3, the day when President Pervez Musharraf embarks on a tour of Scandinavian nations.
According to political analysts, Musharraf is unhappy with the 60 year-old prime minister's peformance.
