On a beautiful June day in 1995, Pakistan's greatest cricketer and also its most eligible bachelor infuriated conservative Muslims in his native land by marrying an English heiress with a Jewish father at a civil wedding ceremony in Richmond, near London.

Imran Khan's wedding to Jemima, daughter of the British billionaire Sir James Goldsmith, was dubbed as a case of 'East meets West' by some British tabloids.

Jemima stunned upper-crust British society when she converted to Islam and moved to Lahore and lived like a Pakistani wife would do.
