The father of Antaryami, one of the three Indians taken hostage in Iraq, is a totally broken man today and says he will court death before seeing the body of his son.

"We are left with no hope. We cannot rely on government or on god," said Antaryami's distraught father Ram Murthi at his house at Upper Dehlan village in Himachal Pradesh.

"The moment I saw today the photo of a captor pointing the gun at Antaryami and threatening to kill a hostage by tomorrow, I decided that I will die before that and will not see his body," Ram Murti said.

Ram Murti said all that his family got from the government was repeated assurance about efforts to get
Antaryami and other Indian hostages freed.

"Had the child of a Prime Minister or President been taken hostate, would the government have not done anything? Are we not Indians?" he said.

In Ropar (Punjab), the father of Sukhdev, another Indian hostage, said, "Our entire family is very nervous since getting the news of the execution of the two Pakistanis by their captors in Iraq."

"The government must do something. We're poor," he said.

Sukhedev's mother Jaspal Kaur said, "I appeal to the government to bring back my son."
