The Jharkhand high court on Monday reserved its order on the writ petition by Jharkhand Mukti Morcha president Shibu Soren challenging the arrest warrant against him issued by the Jamtara sub divisional judicial magistrate's court in connection with the 1975 Chirrudih massacre in which 11 persons were killed.

Soren was a Union minister when the warrant was issued on July 17. He soon went into hiding to avoid arrest even though Parliament was in session. He resigned on July 24 only after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh told him to. The chief of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is still in hiding fearing arrest.
