Over 120 people have been feared killed in Kerala from the killer tsunami waves that lashed the state's southern coast on Sunday.

Two more bodies were recovered late last night -- one each in Kollam and Alappuzha -- and the police said the toll was likely to rise.

Search teams comprising the police, the fire brigade, the Navy and the Coast Guard, are continuing operations in the
wave-ravaged fishing hamlets in the two districts.

About 800 people have been admitted to various hospitals with injuries and thousands have been rendered homeless.

The state cabinet later today will hold a special meeting to review the situation.

Over 40,000 people have already been shifted to relief camps.
