Bharatiya Janata Party president Lal Kishenchand Advani on Friday revoked former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Uma Bharti's suspension, party leader M Venkaiah Naidu said in New Delhi.

Naidu replied in the negative when asked whether she would get back the post of general secretary, to which she was appointed days before her suspension.

Bharti was suspended from the party on November 10 after she challenged Advani's authority during an office-bearers' meeting in full media glare.

She criticised leaders like Naidu, Pramod Mahajan, Arun Jaitley and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and stormed out of the meeting.

The decision to suspend her was instant, taken minutes after her walkout.
