Another tragic chapter was added to the India Railway's history when the Jammu Tawi-Ahmedabad Express and Jalandhar-Pathankot DMU passenger train collided head-on between Bhagala and Mirthal railway stations in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab on Tuesday.

Thirty-eight people were killed and many others were injured.
