"Fleur, Mridula, Sharan, Shivani! Next four girls, can you please come here?" bellows choreographer Aparna Bahl, one half of the Aparna-Tanya duo.
Fittings can stretch for over three hours and can get quite stressful.
The girls are called for a lineup, the fit of every garment they will be wearing on the ramp is checked, alterations that are needed are made note of and the accessories for each look are decided.
With over 15 girls and 35 garments in one collection, getting the logistics right for D-day can be very difficult.
Once the look is complete, every garment and accessory -- like the bag, belt or shoes -- is tagged with the name of the model who will wear it on the ramp.
While one model gets her alterations and look worked out, others relax.
For Malini Ramani's fittings, almost every top model was present, including Joey Matthews, Vidisha Pavate, Indrani Mukherjee, Fleur Xavier and Diandra Soares.
In between the fittings, many browse the day's newspapers, read a book, catch a nap or just chat.
