Human Resource Development Minister Murli Manohar Joshi, who resigned following a Rae Bareli court's decision to frame charges against him in the Babri Masjid demolition case, met Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for an hour on Monday morning.
After the meeting, Joshi said the PM was "considering the matter".
Asked if Vajpayee, who returned Sunday night after a 13-day trip to Turkey and New York, had taken a decision on his resignation, he said, "I will disclose it at an appropriate time."
The minister said he had left the decision to the PM. "I will wait for his decision."
