Turkey's mass-circulation newspaper, Hurriyet, on Friday said the authorities have identified the two suicide bombers who attacked British targets in Istanbul on Thursday.
Both, the newspaper report said, were Turks.
The report added that seven people have been detained so far in connection with the bombings that caused extensive damage to the British Consulate building and the Turkish headquarters of the British-owned HSBC Bank.
At least 27 people were killed in the bombings, including the British Counsel-General Roger Short.
The newspaper said the bombers could be two suspected Islamist militants thought to have masterminded Saturday's deadly synagogue bombings in Istanbul.
It said the two could be Azad Ekinci and Feridun Ugurlu from the impoverished eastern town of Bingol.
