Violence in Baroda, 10 injured

Ten people were injured when police fired ten rounds to disperse mobs indulging in stone-pelting at Panjrigar-Ranavas area of Baroda on Wednesday night, police said.

The trouble started following some slogans written on kites against Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and Hindu gods. The mobs hurled acid bombs at each other, the police said.

Five persons were arrested in this connection. The situation was brought under control after police reinforcements were rushed to the spot, they added.
