August 16, 2003 'India is my country and I love it' Despite all its shortcomings, India is my country and I love it. I can proudly say Sare Jahan Se Accha Hindustan Hamara. I belong to Madhya Pradesh but I came to Haryana in search of work. I work for a landlord and plough a tractor through the fields to sow wheat and paddy seeds according to the crop pattern. I am a poor farmer and will remain that way in years to come. But if I do become something by a stroke of luck I would be happy for my family and me. I would like to banish unemployment from this country which forces people like me to leave their homes in search of jobs to far off places. India is a unique country where people of all religions co-exist with each other. This is the greatness of my country. But the country should grow in might so that its neighbours do not dare to challenge it.
