The bathing follows a sequence. Naga sadhus are the first to take the plunge. Later they apply ash on their body and return to their camp. After all the sadhus have had a dip, it is the turn of the pilgrims.
Despite the rush, the pilgrims wait patiently for the sadhus to finish, as they believe the water is then charged with even more spiritual energy.
