Akshardham attack fallout of Gujarat riots: Musharraf

Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf on Friday said the attack on the Akshardham temple was a fallout of the communal riots in Gujarat.

"This is totally a misperception. They [India] should not blame us [for the attack] because what is happening in Gujarat is the fallout of killing of thousands of Muslims there," he said in Islamabad.

"Their [India's] internal affairs are not in order," he said.

Musharraf also said that India's Research and Analysis Wing could be involved in the killing of seven Christians in an attack on a non-governmental organisation in Karachi on Wednesday.

"It could be [the] Al Qaeda, it could be any sectarian extremists within [Pakistan] or foreign element or RAW. We are examining," he said.

When asked if there was a danger of an Indo-Pak war, he said: "There is no danger... but we are prepared for everything."
