BJP to organise 'Anti-Terrorist Day' on October 1

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday decided to organise an 'Anti-Terrorist Day' all over India on October one.

Addressing the media in New Delhi, BJP president Venkaiah Naidu appealed to the people to 'speak in one voice against the menace of terrorism'.

He also asked the international community to take 'serious cognisance of the diabolical designs of Pakistan' and to 'realise that it [Pakistan] was an established headquarters of terrorism'.

Giving details of the resolution adopted by an emergency meeting of the party's national executive Naidu said, "It is ironical that Pakistan on the one hand claims to be a member of the international coalition against terrorism, while on the other it unabashedly patronises terrorism."

He said the government has succeeded on the diplomatic front by isolating Pakistan in the international arena. He added, "It is time now to take further steps for totally eliminating and wiping out the terrorist menace from the country."
