Stay on serial Ramkhilavan CM
'n' Family
extended

Anand Mohan Sahay in Patna

The stay on the telecast of a television serial that allegedly caricatures Bihar politician Laloo Prasad Yadav and his family has been extended till September 30.

B K Choudhary, judicial magistrate of Patna, extended the temporary stay on Ramkhilavan CM 'n' Family, which was to be aired on SABe TV, up to September 30.

Earlier, lawyer Radha Raman Pradhan had filed a case against the serial, saying airing it would cause resentment among the people of Bihar because it portrayed Yadav and his wife and Chief Minister Rabri Devi in poor light.

Last week, lawyers representing the serial's producers had filed a petition with the Patna district and sessions court, urging that the stay be lifted.
