Three Indians get death penalty in
Dubai for drug peddling

A Dubai court has sentenced to death three Indians for dealing in and possessing drugs.

The police had nabbed Hamid Soofi Mohiyuddin (40), Sulaiman Rahman Ibrahim (30) and Sebastian Kurian (33) in a sting operation in May, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.

An informer had alerted the anti-drug department that Hamid was in possession of more than 2 kg of drugs. A trap was set to buy the drugs for 300,000 dirhams. They were nabbed when the narcotics were being handed over to the decoy, the daily said.
