Abhishek to be engaged
to Karisma Kapoor

Actor Abhishek Bachchan and actress Karisma Kapoor are getting engaged.

Speaking to PTI on Sunday, Karisma's uncle Rishi Kapoor said the date of the engagement was yet to be finalised.

"My brother, Randhir, his wife Babita and Karisma's sister Kareena are out of town. The elders of the family will sit together and decide on the date of the engagement," he said.

However, sources said it was likely to be October 11, which is Abhishek's father superstar Amitabh Bachchan's birthday.

Abhishek and Karisma co-starred in the film Haan Maine Bhi Pyar Kiya.

Expressing happiness over Abhishek and Karisma's decision, Rishi said: "We are all very happy for the two of them. They have been going steady for a long time and we are happy that it will now end in a nuptial knot."
