BSP expels its only MLA in Bihar

Anand Mohan Sahay in Patna

The Bihar unit of the Bahujan Samaj Party expelled its lone Member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, Suresh Pasi, for anti-party activity.

Announcing the decision, Ram Rakhsak, chief of the Bihar unit of the party, and Uttar Pradesh BSP legislator Ram Achal said Pasi was expelled on the directive of party president Kanshi Ram.

Earlier, four BSP legislators in Bihar had defected from the party and joined the ruling Rashtriya Janata Dal in June. Three of them were later rewarded with ministerial posts in the Rabri Devi government.
