Akshardham attack: Slain terrorists buried

The two terrorists who were killed when they attacked the Akshardham temple last month were buried at the Musa Soher ground in Sahibagh area of Gujarat amidst tight security on Tuesday, police said.

Members of State Wakf Board took the bodies from the Civil Hospital and performed the burial as per Islamic rites in the presence of locals.

The burial was postponed twice for security reasons.

The Anti-Terrorist Squad, after investigations, had handed over the bodies to the Civil Hospital to keep it for a month, awaiting claimants.

No one had claimed the bodies even after 35 days, the police said.

The terrorists, in their early twenties, had stormed the temple on the evening of September 24.

The two terrorists, alleged to be Pakistanis, belonged to the Tehrik-e-Kasas, a hitherto unknown outfit.
