PW naxals kills three Maoists
in Jehanabad

Suspected Naxalites of the People's War killed three Maoists Communist Centre members on Saturday in Jehanabad district of central Bihar.

Inspector General of Police C Lima Imcha said a People's War armed squad attacked the village and shot the MCC supporters dead. The attackers raised slogans in support of the People's War before fleeing.

There was tension in the village following the incident as villagers disrupted traffic in protest.

Police officers visited the area and additional personnel were deployed. The district has been sealed and the police have launched a hunt to nab the culprits.

The Jehanabad district has been the centre of bloody battles among different Naxalite outfits for the last few months. Nearly two dozen people have been killed so far.
