Jammu attack: Another succumbs to injuries

The wife of Havaldar Manjeet Singh, who was seriously injured in Tuesday's terrorist attack in Kalu Chak, succumbed to injuries at the army hospital in Jammu on Thursday, taking the number of dead to 35, official sources said.

With the death of Jaswinder Kaur, the four-member family of Manjeet Singh was wiped out. Singh and his three-year-old son Lovely were killed on the spot in the attack on their family quarter while his wife and six-month-old daughter, Pummy, were critically injured, they said.

Pummy died on Wednesday after a surgery, the sources said.

There were still 46 injured at the hospital, of which three, including two children, were in a critical condition, they said.

Sources said out of the four unidentified bodies, one was identified as that of Himachal Pradesh's Meenakshi.
