Privilege notice against prime minister

Congress chief whip Priyaranjan Dasmunshi on Thursday told the Lok Sabha that he had given a notice of breach of privilege against Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for misleading the House.

Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Dasmunshi said Vajpayee had wrongly quoted from his Goa speech in the House.

Congress member Margaret Alva, who was in the chair, told him that his notice was under consideration of Deputy Speaker P M Sayeed.
