Kaifi Azmi buried

Urdu literary giant, Kaifi Azmi, who died of cardiac failure, was buried at a cemetery in Andheri in north-west Mumbai on Friday evening.

Eminent personalities from the film world and the literary field thronged Azmi's bungalow in suburban Juhu to pay their last respects.

Several film personalities, including Shashi Kapoor, Deepti Naval, Satish Kaushik, Farhan Akhtar and Tabu, and painter M F Husain were among those who joined the funeral procession.

Noted writers Khayyam, Javed Siddiqui, Nida Fazli also paid their respects to Kaifi Azmi.
