This will be the first time in five months since the South Asian Association of Regional Cooperation summit in Kathmandu in January that the two leaders will be present at the same forum.
Vajpayee will be travelling to Kazakh capital Almaty for the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) to be held from June 2 to 4.
Among the CICA members are Russia, China, Iran, Turkey, Egypt besides other Central Asian republics.
International security concerns are expected to figure prominently at the conference, which is expected to come out with a declaration on combating terrorism.
Before proceeding to Almaty, Vajpayee will visit Turkey from May 30 to June 2 to further consolidate relations between the two countries.
Contrary to speculation and media hype of a breakthrough in the Indo-Pak diplomatic standoff, the Kathmandu summit had seen only shaking of hands between Vajpayee and Musharraf.
Officials said Pakistan has not shown signs of taking concrete steps to satisfy India's concerns on cross-border terrorism, infiltration and handing over of terrorists.
