Ministers won't be withdrawn from
NDA: DMK chief

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, which has snapped ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party's Tamil Nadu unit, on Tuesday said it would not withdraw its ministers from the National Democratic Alliance government at the Centre as "it will amount to playing into the hands of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam".

"Though we cannot get along well with the BJP's Tamil Nadu unit leaders, we have no proposal to withdraw our ministers," DMK president M Karunanidhi said in Chennai.

Asked whether there was any scope for rapprochement with the BJP, he said, "I have said that we cannot get along well with the BJP's Tamil Nadu leaders. We have no problems with the BJP's central leadership."
