Kanchi Shankaracharya blesses Ambani

The Shankaracharya of Kanchi mutt Swami Jayendra Saraswati on Thursday visited and blessed ailing patriarch of Reliance group, Dhirubhai Ambani, at the Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai.

The Shankaracharya asked about the health of Ambani, who was admitted to the hospital on June 24 night after he suffered a stroke. Ambani's condition continues to remain critical.

The seer also prayed for early recovery of the business tycoon.

On Wednesday, religious gurus of the Vaishnava and Swaminarayana sects came and offered special prayers for the early recovery of 69-year-old Ambani.

Earlier during the day, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Lok Sabha Speaker Manohor Joshi, Trinamool Congress MP Nitish Sengupta, senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde, SBI Chairman Janki Vallabh and former Union minister Buta Singh also visited the hospital.
