Nepal on Tuesday assured India that it would extend all cooperation to prevent 'misuse of its territory by elements whose activities were directed against India'.
This assurance was given by visiting Nepalese King Gyanendra during a meeting he had with Home Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani.
The two sides decided to strengthen exchange of information to enable closer cooperation and coordination in this regard, official sources said.
The government's concerns over anti-India operations of Pakistan's ISI from Nepal was raised by Advani who sought Kathmandu's cooperation in preventing infiltration of terrorists and other such elements into India.
Advani said that India had lost more lives in the Islamabad-backed proxy war than in any of the open wars with Pakistan.
