Mumbai-Kanyakumari train derails; 11 hurt

Eleven people were injured, two seriously, when ten bogies of the Mumbai-Kanyakumari Jayanti Janata express derailed on Thursday morning between Wadi and Nalwad on the South Central Railway in Karnataka's Gulbarga district, railway sources said.

The mishap occurred at around 5.30 am. The train had left Mumbai at 3.15 pm on Wednesday.

Senior railway officials have rushed to the spot along with accident relief train, they said.

There is no disruption in traffic, they added.
