Grenade explosion kills 3,
injures 4 in Kashmir

Mukhtar Ahmad in Srinagar

Three people were killed and four others wounded in a grenade explosion in Budgam in central Kashmir on Saturday afternoon.

Police said unidentified militants hurled a hand grenade on a Special Operations Group vehicle. The grenade, however, missed the target and exploded near a shop killing a civilian on the spot.

The wounded were shifted to a hospital, where two of them, including a child, succumbed to their injuries.
