Miffed Jaya still asks AIADMK to vote for Shekhawat

N Sathiya Moorthy in Chennai

Despite Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's strong criticism of the Centre for not inviting her to the swearing-in ceremony of President A P J Abdul Kalam, she has asked the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam to vote for the National Democratic Alliance vice-presidential candidate Bhairon Singh Shekhawat.

Jayalalithaa confirmed this to newsmen on Friday evening.

Earlier in the day, the Tamil Nadu chief minister had criticised the Centre and the BJP leadership for 'humiliating' Tamil Nadu and its people by being 'selective' in inviting people for the swearing-in ceremony.
