Goods train collides with Kanchanjanga Express

Two coaches of Sealdah-bound Kanchanjanga Express derailed after a head-on collision with a goods train at Kamakhaya station near Guwahati on Monday night, a railway spokesperson said.

Kanchanjanga Express, which left Guwahati station around 1030 pm, was stationed at Kamakhaya station when a goods train from Dhubri side on the Jogigopa line collided with it around 1100 pm.

There was no information available on any casualty or injuries caused in the mishap.
