Robert Vadra's father threatens to file defamation suit

The controversy surrounding Congress president Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra issuing a public notice in newspapers virtually dissociating himself from his father and brother took a new turn on Tuesday with his father saying he will file a defamation case against "whoever is concerned".

"I am going to file a defamation case against them..... whoever is concerned. I don't care whether it is Sonia Gandhi, my son or Priyanka Gandhi," Robert's father Rajendra Vadra told the Aaj Tak news channel.

Robert Vadra had issued a public notice in newspapers last week stating that one Rajinder Vadra and another Richard Vadra were "duping" people by promising jobs and other favours while claiming that they were working on his behalf. He said they had no access to him.
