Charges of murder have been added to the FIR against Vikas Yadav and Vishal Yadav, currently in judicial custody in the sensational Nitish Katara kidnap case, police said.
This followed Ghaziabad police's confirmation that the charred and disfigured body found in Bulandshahar area was that of Nitish Katara.
Ghaziabad Chief Judicial Magistrate R K Gupta is likely to hear the application seeking police remand of Vikas and Vishal on Wednesday.
The CJM had on Monday remanded Vikas, son of Rajya Sabha member D P Yadav, and his cousin Vishal to judicial custody till March 11 after they were brought to the city from Dabra in Madhya Pradesh by a special UP police team.
Vikas Yadav is on bail in model Jessica Lal's murder case.
