The post-mortem on the body of JD (U) leader H Nagappa has revealed a bullet wound, official sources said on Monday.
The bullet had apparently pierced Nagappa's body near the heart, the sources told PTI.
The post-mortem was performed at a primary health centre at Ramapura in Chamarajnagar district, they added.
