Six prisoners escape from Multai sub-jail

Six prisoners escaped from Multai sub-jail in Betul district of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday evening.

Four were serving life sentences for murders while the remaining two were undertrials, an official report said on Friday.

Those undergoing life sentences were Sunder, Kamal, Manga and Sukkhan while the undertrials were identified as Kishori and Ammu.

District Collector Pankaj Raag, Superintendent of Police A K Singh and district Jail Superintendent O P Chouksey reached the sub-jail after hearing about the incident.
