Trinamool to move motion under Rule 184 on Monday

The Trinamool Congress -- an ally of the National Democratic Alliance -- on Friday said it would submit a motion under Rule 184 in the Lok Sabha on Monday demanding a discussion on the law and order situation in West Bengal.

Trinamool Congress policymaking body chairman Pankaj Banerjee said 50 MPs had already signed the motion to be moved by his party.

"This indicates that people across the country are worried about what is happening in West Bengal," he said.

He hoped that Deputy Speaker P M Sayeed would admit the motion and give his party the opportunity to discuss the situation prevailing in the state.
