The CPI-M's Somnath Chatterjee; Samajwadi Party's Mulayam Singh Yadav; former prime minister H D Deve Gowda of the Janata Dal, Harkishen Singh Surjeet, also of the CPI-M, and A B Bardhan of the CPI join hands in New Delhi on Wednesday, April 17, to demand the resignation of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi over the communal violence in the state.
