Sadhu Yadav revolts against Laloo

Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Laloo Prasad Yadav on Monday faced a virulent attack from his brother-in-law Sadhu Yadav, who accused the ministry headed by his sister Rabri Devi and the party of being a prisoner of 'sycophants, blackmailers and power brokers'.

As Laloo Yadav left for New Delhi to take oath as Rajya Sabha member, Sadhu Yadav charged that RJD had been reduced to a 'party of capitalists' from being once the 'champion of the downtrodden'.

Stating that resentment was brewing in the party over the distribution of tickets for the state legislature council seats, he alleged that 'tent-wallahs, bus owners and their agents' had been selected by the party for the council seats.

However, an RJD minister on condition of anonymity said that Sadhu was angered because he felt he had been ignored in selection of party candidates for the council poll and that his younger brother was wielding greater influence in the ruling party.

Meanwhile, Laloo Yadav brushed aside the allegation saying only committed partymen had been nominated for the council poll.
