Shortly after arriving from Pakistan on a two-day visit, United States Assistant Secretary of State for South Asia Christina Rocca on Tuesday met India's special envoy to Afghanistan S K Lambah and held consultations with external affairs ministry officials on further consolidating the new momentum in Indo-US relations.
The two sides will review the entire gamut of bilateral ties as also the follow-up action on decisions taken during Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's visit to the US in November last year.
During her stay, Rocca is also expected to discuss the three-month long military stand-off between India and Pakistan and the progress in the global campaign against terrorism.
Rocca will call on External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh on Wednesday.
She will hold extensive parleys with her Indian counterpart Jayant Prasad, joint secretary in the external affairs ministry.
The US official had to abruptly cut short her visit last month and rush to Islamabad from Agra ahead of her official engagements in New Delhi in the wake of the grenade attack on a church that claimed five lives, including two Americans, and left at least 45 injured.
Rocca will have meetings with Foreign Secretary Chokila Iyer and CBI Director P C Sharma on Wednesday.
