Army kills 3 Pakistani soldiers along LoC

At least three Pakistani soldiers were feared killed in retaliatory Indian fire along the Line of Control in Uri sector of north Kashmir, defence sources said on Saturday.

Pakistani troops fired on forward Indian positions using heavy calibre small arms in Haji Peer area of Uri sector in Baramulla district on Friday afternoon, forcing the Indian troops to retaliate, they said.

Meanwhile, Indian troops observed movement of six Pakistani soldiers towards a forward post along the LoC in Khawaja Bandi and Mottiwali areas and in the exchange of fire three of them were feared killed, the sources added.

They said firing from both sides had stopped and there was no fresh report of shelling in any sector.
