JKDFP headquarters attacked

No one was injured in the attack, the third since JKDFP chief Shabbir Shah initiated the move for talks a week back.

No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the latest attack, the sources said.

The grenade was hurled by the militants travelling in an autorickshaw in Towaagh, Srinagar, around 19:25 hours IST, they said, adding that it exploded in front the main gate of the headquarters. No one was present at the time of the attack.

The explosion shook Rajbagh, where police and paramilitary forces rushed immediately, the sources said.

However, no one was arrested, they said.

This is the third attack since Shah expressed his willingness to participate in the dialogue initiated by the Centre to resolve the Kashmir issue.

The radical pro-Pakistan militant outfits, Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen and Al-umer Mujahideen, have issued an ultimatum to Shah to desist from entering into a dialogue with the Centre and threatened to target him and his party workers.
