The Delhi high court Friday reserved judgment on the Hinduja brothers' plea that they be allowed to go abroad and that the Central Bureau of Investigation delink their case from those of Ottavio Quattrochi and Martin Ardbo.
Justice S K Aggarwal refused to accept written submissions by Kapil Sibal, advocate for the brothers. He told the CBI and the defence counsel that since the matter had been argued, he would be reserving his judgment.
Sibal made a plea that since his clients had already been in India for 65 days, he would appreciate if the judgment was delivered at an early date. The judge took note of it, but made no comment.
Srichand and Gopichand Hinduja briefly appeared in court but left early as the court could not hear the matter in the pre-lunch session due to the absence of CBI counsel N Natarajan, who was arguing another case in the Supreme Court.
