Rajmata Scindia sinks further

Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party politician Vijayaraje Scindia's condition was reported to be 'very critical' on Tuesday with all her vital organs, including the liver and kidneys, failing.

"Scindia, who showed mild improvement last week, has deteriorated. All her vital organs are failing. Her chances of recovery are very bleak," doctors at the Apollo Hospital, where she was admitted on January 2, said.

"Her level of consciousness continues to be low. She is on supportive measures as before and all her systems are being closely monitored," B M Aiyanna, director of medical services at the hospital, said.
