Toll in AP factory blast rises to 5

The toll in Monday's explosion at the AP Paper Mills in Rajahmundry rose to five on Tuesday with three more workers succumbing to injuries.

Police sources said the condition of two more workers continues to be critical.

One of the 11 digesters (where paper pulp is boiled along with acids and chemicals) in the mill had exploded on Monday morning seriously injuring seven workers.
