Scindia, Prasada still in
'critical' condition: PTI

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Vijayaraje Scindia, admitted to Apollo Hospital, continues to be "very critical", with doctors attending on her describing the chance of recovery as "slim".

"Though her vital organs are stable, she continues to be very critical. We are doing our best but the chance of recovery is slim," the doctors told PTI.

Scindia, suffering from meningitis, was admitted on January 2 and has been 'deeply unconscious' and on a ventilator with intravenous drips.

Senior Congress leader Jitendra Prasada, also admitted to Apollo Hospital after a "massive brain haemorrhage", continues to be critical with "very bleak" chances of recovery, doctors attending on him said.

"He is totally on a life support system. He has not shown improvement in the past 24 hours and his chances of recovery are very bleak," doctors told PTI.

Prasada, admitted on January 9, was on a ventilator with intravenous drips and medication.

The condition of Prasada's younger brother, Jayender Prasada, who was operated on, was, however, "fine", doctors said.
