Condition of Rajmata Scindia worsens

The condition of senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Vijaya Raje Scindia, who was admitted to Apollo hospital earlier this week, was stated to be critical, hospital sources said in New Delhi on Saturday.

Doctors said her condition had deteriorated since the last two days following which she had been put on life support.

She was admitted to the hospital following complaints of meningitis, the sources said.

She is the mother of Minister of State for External Affairs Vasundhra Raje and senior Congress leader Madhavrao Scindia.
