Laloo annoyed over threats
to IT department

Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Laloo Prasad Yadav on Friday expressed displeasure over the sticking of bills on walls of the Income Tax Department that read 'Withdraw cases against the RJD chief or face dire consequences'.

"I categorically deny having anything to do with such organisations. Any such person or organisation can never be my sympathiser," Yadav said strongly reacting to the pasting of the banners by the so-called 'Laloo Task Force'.

The force, allegedly founded by an advocate, had on January six pasted posters on the wall of the local Income Tax Office gate warning the department to withdraw cases against Yadav or face dire consequences.

The IT department is examining the returns filed by Yadav between 1990-98 and has served several notices to him.
